GOODBYE PHOTO FLASHBACK: Tested Under several light conditions and with top smartphone models.Clear Blue Sunlit SkyOutdoors PMIndoors PMElectronic FlashFluorescent LightBathroom LightNightclub LightA panel of women were tested in a controlled environment simulating seven different lighting scenarios, with professionally-applied concealer, foundation and/or powder, and took their own selfies with top smartphones. The majority of study participants said that the resulting picture was ‘no flashback’ or ‘flawless’ or ‘perfect’.‘Flashback’ occurs when white particles in face makeup reflect light released by flash photography, creating a white cast in photos; eliminating these particles combats that flashback. ‘Flawless’ or ‘perfect’ represents one’s self-assessment of the picture having all the desired qualities.Pictured model is not one of the selfies taken as part of the study, and not an exact representation of actual product application. Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Regret every expensive foundation I”ve purchased!! I wasn”t expecting too much from this foundation based on the price but man was I wrong. Medium to full coverage. I have oily/ combination skin, mostly oily. I”ve had this foundation for a few weeks now and I notice it doesn”t get too oily before I have to blot or touch up, which is normal for any other high end foundation that I”ve bought that is catered to oily skin . It has a nice matte but still skin like finish. The applicator isn”t bad. Im a Nars Syracuse and caramel is a pretty ok match a might try a shade lighter though. No flashback which is suprising because I feel like no matter what I always get flashback.! Don”t pass this deal up.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from I need more shade options I am 14 years old and EXTREMELY pale and the lightest shade is still to dark for me but I wear it anyway because the coverage is good, its cheap, and it wears all day. However I need a shade that is literally white or a tiny bit darker than white cause I”m just that fair. The shade Porcelian is the lightest shade and I wish it would be lighter and have a less yellow undertone. I do like this foundation but on both ends of the shade range they need to extend waaaayyyyy more. Like the Fenty foundation they have a shade that is literally white but I just don”t like the finish of it so if they could do that for this foundation I”d be so happy
Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from I love it… BUT I do quite like it! Yes, the smell might bother some, but you eventually get used to it. I like that it”s super buildable too. And ugh! Don”t even start about the color variety! It”s always been so hard for me to find a foundation that has a yellow undertone for a cheap price! So when I tried this, I fell in love. Even once it oxidized, the color seemed to stay about the same. The foundation does appear to be a little sticky too, but it”s not so bad. Buuuuut… I did have a problem with the break outs 🙁 I could tell that once I started using the product, I broke out more than usual. Really sad because I really did like the product.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Teresitaa from 3 years strong I purchased this a while (3 yrs ago) and I’ve already forgotten how many bottles I’ve bought since then. First time I tried this foundation I was in love . I only use drugstore foundations I’ve been through maybellime fit me, Milani, covergirl, neutrogena, and still this is my favorite. Yes it does have a paint smell but it’s foundation and anything that non scented or that has fragrance will make me break out. Will definitely continue purchasing and my only feedback is to extend shade range bc other people don’t fit into shades as said in reviews also I am yellow toned so I have trouble finding a match in the winter
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jillian from NEW HOLY GRAIL Soooo I had just recently made a trip to Sephora to repurchase my Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation which costs me about $43! A friend recommended I try this foundation and for only $5.99 I swear this foundation gives my skin the most smooth finish EVER! I have dry skin and I use a facial oil to keep it moisturized and this foundation plus my current skin care regimen gives me the most flawless airbrush finish when applied with a beauty blender. I also love, love, love the applicator which makes it so easy to put on my face. I mix desert beige and golden beige to make my perfect color. Definitely recommend everyone to try this makeup.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Speedy from Really dry.. and oily? Just bought this, the color is spot on, but only 30 minutes after wearing it began looking really oily on my nose and really dry every where else. I did use primer and setting powder, and I haven”t had this problem with my other foundations. It really sinks in the skin instead of sitting on top and covering blemishes and discoloration. I had to reapply powder multiple times throughout the day to keep the oil at bay, nothing I did helped with the dryness. The price is great, but for the same money I can stick with my same foundation and look 10x better. Also, HATE the applicator. Wish it spread out better when using a beauty blender or brush.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from the smell is so bad… i got this about last week and i was really looking forward to it. i love buying makeup and when i saw it was $6, it was too good to be true. i watched/read a lot of reviews about this foundation and finally made the choice to just buy it myself and try. 1st of all the smell of this is AWFUL. it smell like wall paint. i was very shocked by this. i still gave it a try and was very upset about it. if you have any dry spots on your face this foundation will be sure to show it. i try working with it, but i just couldn”t. even my boyfriend told me how it didn”t look this great. lucky it was only $6, but i still think i wasted my money on this…
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sadie from Not Recommended At All I had no high hopes for this foundation because it was inexpensive but I thought why not try it because sometimes you find a real gem that doesn”t empty your wallet. All I can say is “let the buyer beware.” To start with it is extremely drying to the skin and sits like caulk on your face I have normal skin with fine to small pores and every pore noticeably stood out and there was just no blending or smoothing it in on my face. The other issue I had with it was the smell. The fragrance is like that of latex paint. I washed the foundation from my face and the bottle went straight into the trash. Thankfully I”m only out a few dollars.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Looked awful I envy anyone who this worked out for since it”s so inexpensive. I am usually the lightest shade in foundation, and I got nude ivory in this shade. I bought it after watching a review on youtube. As everyone else said, it smells like paint, but it also had a burning sensation. I was willing to look past this, as I was so excited to take a picture and see how magical my face looked. I was so sad to see such a bad picture. I looked like a white paper plate with hair and eyes sitting on top of a beige neck. The flashback was horrendous. It was also separating on my chin and around my mouth within minutes. And I even used the photofocus primer.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Worst Foundation Ever Had high hopes for this products based off of great reviews about but i was so disappointed! This product smells just like wet paint and has such a thick consistency it would not blend! I”ve tried a beauty blender, foundation brush and a stippler brush yet it wont budge and I”m left with dry streaky/patchy looking skin. This foundation shows pores i didn”t even know i had (i have no acne/textured skin) and breaks up after a couple of minutes (do not have oily or dry skin either). I”ve tried it with and without moisturizer and primers various times hopping for better results and each time it fails. Do not recommend buying this.

It definitely brought my pores out. Can be full coverage but be sure to prime and moisturizer REALLY good or you’ll be dry with very exposed pores
