The 1060 6gb is a bit faster, and if the monitor is compatible with nvidia"s freesync standard you can use freesync too. However, why would you get a 1440p 144hz display with a gtx 1060 6gb?

Hi Everyone,

I know this question has been asked but I still need some help deciding.

I currently have the following GPUs available to me:

MSI GTX 1060 (6GB)

MSI Amor RX 570 (8GB)

Currently gaming on a 32" - 2560 x 1440 - 144hz monitor (w/ Freesync). For the record; I"m more interested a smoother gaming experience than max FPS.

My PC: Ryzen 3700x, 16GB DDR4, RM650 PSU, B450M Steel Legend.

The 1060 is faster but I"d personally look at a 580 - it"s usually cheaper than a 1060 and slightly faster too

This PC is less for gaming và more for productivity. I tried a 32" 1440p monitor at a colleague"s house about an year ago and was astonished by the extra display real estate. Powering through 2 tabs side by side was very practical with the higher DPI & even 1+0.5+0.5 tabs. -Compared khổng lồ my single 24" 144hz monitor.

I got this monitor cheap from that same colleague- who switched khổng lồ dual 43" 4K TVs (He actually has one in portrait mode w/ hand-made bracket/stand thing LOL).

Baông chồng on topic, I have no issue gaming in window mode at 1080p for more hardware intensive games; but again this cài đặt is more for productivity & less more gaming.

Though it seems everyone is recommending the GTX 1060; at the loss of native Freesync support.

I picked the 3700x over the 3600 for longevity (not to be confused with "future proofing"). There is strong evidence to lớn suggest that the extra cores/threads will translate khổng lồ tangible performance in games in 1-2 years.
